ADVOCACY: Known as a strong Latina advocate, she has visited Congress in Washington D.C and addressed City Council and many elected officials on relative issues and concerns. In 2001 she presented to the National Association for Latino Elected Officials (NALEO) on the importance of liver disease and organ & tissue donation and most recent addressed the NYS legislative hearing on Hepatitis C in the Prison System. |
