Founded in 1994, LOLA is the first national bilingual bicultural organization dedicated to raising awareness on liver disease through informational materials, prevention and education community outreach programs, treatment and referral services, support groups, quarterly newsletters, HCV Prison Educational Presentations and HCV Public Education Campaigns to the Latino and American communities and other underserved populations who suffer from liver disease in the United States.
LOLA also provides bilingual information on liver transplantation and encourages organ and tissue donation.
The Latino Organization for Liver Awareness (LOLA) has continued to meet the Better Business Bureau Standards for Charitable Solicitations since the February 1, 2000 review.
